The Primal Age – The Era of the Seven Elemental Dragons

Long before mortal footsteps ever touched its shores, the island — then known in the dragon tongue as Vael'Zaarun (“Heart of the World”) — was a sanctuary of raw, untouched magic. It pulsed with ancient ley lines and was shaped not by time or erosion, but by the will of seven elemental dragons who emerged from the planet’s soul itself. Vael'Zaarun was not one landmass but a living mosaic of realms, each shaped and ruled by one of the elemental dragons.
Each of these dragons maintained a balance, not through peace but through an ancient pact written in the language of raw magic. They didn’t rule as tyrants but as stewards. Their power fed the land, shaped its creatures, and birthed many of the magical species that would later be seen as myths of Vael’Zaarun.

At first, the dragons debated whether these “sky-borns” were threats, aberrations, or omens.
